On Sunday, March 8, 2026, Ms. Atchara Poomee was honored to be a guest speaker at the Open House of AQUA-TOTS Swim School, Ratchaphruek Branch. She presented and provided in-depth insights into PAC’s energy-saving solutions, which have helped propel the school to become “The Most Sustainable Swimming School in Thailand.”
As business operators, we understand that “energy costs” are a major challenge for swimming schools. PAC has stepped in to design systems and install innovations that address both cost reduction and environmental preservation (Circular Economy).
- PAC Pooltemper (Swimming Pool Heat Pump): AQUA-TOTS’ requirement was to maintain a water temperature of 34-36°C in a 130-cubic-meter pool. Consequently, the project chose to invest in one unit of the PAC Pooltemper, model PPT-130SVS.
- Value: It can save up to 406,000 THB/year in electricity costs (compared to traditional electric heaters) and offers a rapid payback period of only 1.1 years.
- Carbon Reduction: Helps reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions by up to 50.7 tons/year.
- PAC Frenergy (Water Heater from Air Conditioner Waste Heat): For the children’s shower area, we installed a water heating innovation that reaches 60°C “without using electricity.” We used two units of model PAM-4502 (450 liters) and one unit of model PAM-3002 (300 liters), maximizing the utility of waste heat from Hitachi air conditioners.
- Value: It saves up to 122,000 THB/year in water heating electricity costs and pays back within 1.85 years. Additionally, it helps reduce the power consumption of connected air conditioners by up to 20%.
- Carbon Reduction: Helps reduce CO₂ emissions by 15.2 tons/year.
Investment Value Summary (The Bottom Line): This investment in Clean Tech by AQUA-TOTS cost approximately 650,000 THB but can reduce total energy expenses by over 528,000 THB/year, allowing the business to achieve a return on investment within just 15 months (1.23 years).
Most importantly, it can reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere by a total of more than 65.9 tons of CO₂ per year, which is equivalent to planting more than 4,000 large trees!
This case is the clearest reflection that sustainability policies are not just about image or “Green Branding”; they are a “worthwhile” business strategy that can reduce costs and create sustainable competitive advantages.
